1. What is Spot?​

Magenta Spot is our spot trading platform, designed for direct token-to-token exchanges at the live market price. It’s the foundation of trading on Magenta, enabling users to buy or sell assets transparently without leverage or complex contracts.

Example: In the BTC/USDT market, you can purchase 1 BTC at the spot price and pay the equivalent in USDT.

2. Spot vs. Perpetuals​

  • SpotLite: Traders own the actual asset. Buying BTC means BTC is added to your wallet, and you benefit if its price rises.
  • Perpetuals: Traders use contracts that follow the asset’s price. You don’t own the token but can long (bullish) or short (bearish) depending on market conditions.

3. Deposits & Withdrawals​

Magenta Spot will support seamless deposits and withdrawals via CEXs and on-chain wallets.

  • Deposit: Transfer tokens from Binance, OKX, or wallets like MetaMask/TrustWallet directly into your Spot account.
  • Withdrawal: Send tokens back to your CEX or personal wallet in just a few clicks.

4. Trading Fees​

  • Taker Fee: Stay tuned

📌 Traders can lower fees further by paying with $MGNT. Enabling "Pay in $MGNT" activates a 5% discount automatically.

5. Order Types​

  • Market Order: Executes instantly at the best available price.
  • Limit Order: Set your own price and let the market meet it.
  • Stop-Limit Order: Combines a trigger price with a limit order to protect against volatility.
